What is Foxxy Flashcards?
Foxxy is a beautiful flashcard app with spaced repetition and gamification, designed specifically for university students. Create flashcards, study with science-backed algorithms, and level up with our XP system. Our Fox Den feature turns studying into an adventure.
Is Foxxy free?
Yes! Foxxy has a free tier with up to 5 decks, spaced repetition, basic gamification, and offline mode. For unlimited decks, advanced analytics, and all premium features, there's Foxxy Pro at €4.99/month.
What platforms is Foxxy available on?
Foxxy is launching soon on iOS and Android. Sign up for our waitlist to be the first to know when we go live!
How is Foxxy different from Anki?
Foxxy offers the same science-backed spaced repetition as Anki, but with a beautiful modern UI, gamification (XP, levels, Fox Den), easy deck organization, exam mode, and built-in analytics. It's Anki without the learning curve.
Features & Learning
How does spaced repetition work?
Spaced repetition is a scientifically proven study method. Our algorithm schedules reviews at optimal intervals based on your ratings (Again, Hard, Good, Easy). Cards you know well appear less often; difficult cards appear more frequently. This helps you learn more efficiently and retain more.
What is the Fox Den?
The Fox Den is our gamification feature. You earn XP for correct answers and completed study sessions, level up from Baby Fox to Master Fox, collect Foxcoins, and decorate your personal Fox Den with furniture, plants, bookshelves, and more.
Can I import flashcards from Anki?
Yes! You can import .apkg files directly from Anki. We also support CSV and text files. Your deck structure is preserved during import.
What study modes are available?
Foxxy offers 4 study modes: Smart Study (daily spaced repetition reviews), Free Study (browse all cards), Weak Topics (focus on problem cards), and Exam Mode (combine multiple decks for exam preparation).
Does Foxxy work offline?
Yes! You can view your decks and review cards even without an internet connection. Your progress syncs automatically when you reconnect.
Account & Billing
Can I share decks with friends?
Yes! You can share decks with different permission levels: Viewer (read-only), Editor (add/edit cards), and Manager (full control). Everyone keeps their own study progress.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. Foxxy is GDPR compliant, uses EU-based servers, end-to-end encryption, and automatic backups. Your study data belongs to you.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel Foxxy Pro at any time. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. Your data is always preserved.
