Getting Started with Foxxy Flashcards

Welcome to Foxxy Flashcards — the smart study companion that helps you remember what matters. Whether you are preparing for exams, learning a new language, or mastering any subject, Foxxy uses spaced repetition to make your study sessions more effective. This guide walks you through everything you need to get up and running in minutes.

Step 1: Download the App

Foxxy Flashcards is available as a web app you can use on any device with a browser.

1. Visit www.foxxycards.com.
2. Tap Get Started to open the app.
3. For the best experience on mobile, add Foxxy to your home screen: open the browser menu and select Add to Home Screen. This gives you quick access and enables offline mode.

Step 2: Create Your Account

You need a free account to save your progress and sync across devices.

1. On the welcome screen, tap Register.
2. Enter your email address and choose a secure password.
3. Check your inbox for a verification email and tap the confirmation link.
4. Once verified, log in with your credentials.

If you already have an account, simply tap Login and enter your details. Forgot your password? Use the Forgot Password link on the login screen to reset it.

Step 3: Complete Onboarding

After your first login, Foxxy will ask a few quick questions to personalise your experience:

• What are you studying? — Pick your subject area so Foxxy can tailor recommendations.
• Study goal — Tell us how many cards per day you want to review.
• Preferred language — Choose English or German for the interface.

You can change all of these later in Settings.

Step 4: Create Your First Deck

Decks are collections of flashcards grouped by topic. To create one:

1. Navigate to My Decks from the main menu.
2. Tap the + New Deck button.
3. Give your deck a name (e.g., “Biology Chapter 3”) and optionally assign a colour.
4. Tap Create.

Step 5: Add Your First Cards

Now fill your deck with flashcards:

1. Open the deck you just created.
2. Tap + Add Card.
3. Enter the Front (the question or prompt) and the Back (the answer).
4. Tap Save to add the card.
5. Repeat until you have added all the cards you need.

Each card can include plain text or rich content. If you have existing flashcards from another app, you can also import them from Anki or CSV files.

Step 6: Start Your First Study Session

With cards in your deck, it is time to study:

1. Open your deck and tap Study.
2. Foxxy shows you the front of a card — try to recall the answer.
3. Tap Show Answer to reveal the back.
4. Rate how well you remembered: Again, Hard, Good, or Easy.
5. Foxxy schedules the next review based on your rating, using spaced repetition to optimise your memory.

Your first session might feel short — that is normal. As you add more cards and review them over days, the algorithm builds a personalised schedule that keeps information fresh without overwhelming you.
